Everything From Nothing, Comments
Nothing is all
Nothing can be known
Nothing cannot be told
They who tell it
Know it not
Or know futility
Those who teach it
Know it not
Or know futility
Yet tell we try

Ultimate Reality, the something that lies beyond everything, may be called “Nothing”. It is also variously called Chaos, Creativity. Tao, God.
Chocolate! Yum yum. Wow, wait, you say you have never tasted chocolate? Well, let’s see, it is smooth, kinda sweet but also bitter, rich and satisfying. Does that help? Not really; you could write a book but you cannot fully communicate the taste of chocolate. One must either experience it for themselves or be satisfied with whatever they can learn from a class or a book.
So it is with Nothing. Anyone who says they can tell you what Ultimate Reality is like, does not know Ultimate Reality. Those who know Ultimate Reality also know they cannot communicate what they know. They are satisfied with their futile attempt at approximation. But many who come to such knowledge feel a comradely urge to share what they know. So, they try.
What is nothing?
Nothing is all
Nothing is before, after, above, and below
Nothing must be realized
Not sought
Nothing is timeless
Formless
Without beginning or end
Cause or effect
Disorganized chaos
Infinite potential
Nothing is all. Not as humans’ senses reveal their reality, but a Reality that is everywhere all at once, beyond senses. To find Nothing one must cease seeking rationally and just know with the totality of one’s being.
There is no time or space to Nothing, therefore no beginning, no cause and effect. Nothing may be thought of as disorganized chaos, not in a negative sense, but in the sense of unlimited potential.
The wise one knows nothing
Knows all
Is joyful in harmony with nothing and all
To be truly wise one must come to an understanding of Ultimate Reality. Only then may one know true joy, peace, and harmony.
Nothing is in eternal motion
Neither forward nor back
Up nor down
Beings are of the motion of nothing
But may not perceive the motion
The motion of nothing manifests
But does not create
Bubbles in water
Clouds in air
Of but not apart
Beings, things, entities
Are revealed but not separate
Nothing is all
Beings, things, entities
Dissipate, return, but not separate
Nothing is all
Beings, things, entities
See themselves
But never nothing
Ultimate Reality may be thought of as being in motion even though, paradoxically, there is no time or space. Beings—things, stuff, us, planets—only apparently exist, only apparently know themselves as separate, but are never separate from the Nothing. Beings are manifest in an infinite variety, then dissipate, but are never separate from the Nothing. Again, this is a paradox due to the limitations of human communications. Manifest and dissipate imply time, but there is no time.
The unknowing claim
I am the scale by which reality is measured
And mine is something
The wise one knows
That the something is finite, time bound
And reveals a path to your own discontent
Unharmonious with nothing
Infinite stimuli
Infinite sensations
Infinite relations
Finite receptors
Finite processors
Finite milieu
Finite universe
What folly to expect
Finite something to know nothing
One who has no understanding of Ultimate Reality firmly believes that their quotidian reality, their something, is all there is. One who has an understanding knows the limitations that lead to discontent and disharmony. The Ultimate is infinite, but beings are finite in their ability to sense and understand such infinity. It is folly to expect otherwise.
The chaos of nothing
Boundless currents
Coming, going
Perfect beautiful chaotic currents
Beings
Ants
Planets
Humans
Black holes
Tables
All
Manifest at the cusp
But never separate
Simply
Ripples in the currents
Again, beings are not created, are not separate from the currents of Nothing.
The sage senses
Feels
The fabric of the currents
Succeeds without triumph
Wins without exulting
Loses without disappointment
Understanding Ultimate Reality brings a new meaning to winning and losing. They lose their sense of opposition. Competition can be fun and winning is rewarding, but triumph has no meaning, and loss can be accepted as equally rewarding.
Sensing not the currents of nothing
Breeds human hubris
Societal mismanagement
Personal anguish
Existential angst
For individuals
For societies
For humanity
For Earth
For the universe
Forever
Without an understanding of Ultimate Reality, humanity too easily views the world from their own perspective. The inability to see beyond the near hypnotic perception of day-to-day existence breeds human suffering and the mismanagement of societies—leading to wars and unproductive competition. Humanity’s impact on the known universe becomes increasingly negative.
Human hubris
Seeks organization
Control
Fights entropy
Fights the current
Creates disharmony
Human hubris
Begets science
Religion
Rationality
Wars
Existential threats
Disharmony
Human hubris conceives values
Binary opposites
Good and bad
Human hubris
To organize and control
Humanity feels it is the lens through which reality is known, measured, and controlled. Humans cannot abide disorder or the unknown. I’m not talking about the disorder of an unmade bed or dirty dishes in the sink, but we want our reality to be predictable and comfortable. So, we seek to organize and understand. To comprehend Ultimate Reality, we invent time and dimensions, societal rules and laws, science and religion to explore the unknown, values and competition. To be comfortable in our reality we seek to get it under our control. Our progress has brought us into direct confrontation with existential threats. Our progress too often comes at the expense of Universal Harmony.
The harmonious current
Inner rhythms in sync with nothing
Must be felt
Must be followed
Doing nothing achieves not nothing
The sage smiles
Helping others find their current
Who they are
Not
Who they should be
How can you find your way
Unless you know nothing
The cusps and warps of nothing
All beings find a current
Follow it in harmony
Beings
Individuals
Societies
Tribes
Herds
Planets
Stars
Galaxies
Beings in harmony know nothing
Ride the current of nothing
Each being is a part of the universal whole. Each being’s existence in the quotidian reality is on a path, is riding a current. That path must be felt and followed in sync with the currents of Ultimate Reality to achieve harmony.
Harmonious society recognizes
Existing forces
Disruptive by nature
Disruptive by choice
Disruptive to harmony
The sage ruler allows spontaneous symbiosis
Blends currents to mutual succor
Seeks to instill humility and harmony
While recognizing that metaphoric
Boulders, eddies, precipices, undercurrents
Deter the smooth integration of all into nothing
A harmonious society must deal with disruptive forces, some natural and some precipitated by the conscious actions of individuals. A ruler who has a sense of Ultimate Reality seeks to blend individual currents into a mutual, spontaneous, humble harmony. At the same time the ruler must recognize and integrate or isolate disruptive currents.
The wise seek to have
But not to hold
Success is fleetingly finite
Nothing is all
Success is relative and fleeting. Enjoyment may come from seeking success, winning the game, but winning and losing in the search are not lasting. Only Ultimate Reality is permanent.
Practice begets proficiency
Harmony with the current begets art
You can practice and practice at any endeavor—painting, playing an instrument, playing a sport—and become proficient. But to turn that practice into art one must let go of the mechanics of practice and let the current become the production. Put another way, to go beyond being good through practice one can only become great by letting go of thinking, and performing with the entire, intuitive self.
Relax, ride the current
You are, were, and will be
The murmur of a misplaced woof
In the fabric of nothing
Separate is an illusion
Order is an illusion
Time is an illusion
Space is an illusion
Predestination is an illusion
No pre
No destination
Only nothing is
Relax in the current of your life, don’t fight it. Remember that you are always a part of Ultimate Reality where nothing is separate, there is no order, and time and space do not exist. You are not predestined to anything.
But
Live in your relative reality
Enjoy it
Smell the roses
Love your partner
Seek for answers
Relish the good and the bad
But your reality is very real to you, so enjoy it, have friends and lovers, pleasures. Lead a thoughtful life seeking Ultimate Reality. Learn to relish the good as well as the bad, both are a part of living.
All is chaos
Warm welcoming nothing is all
Harmony results
Be open to feeling, finding the Nothing, the Chaos, Ultimate Reality. It is warm, welcoming, comforting, and brings harmony to your life.
